Ways of Reaching Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam


Transport:
By Air: You can get direct flights from Hyderabad or Chennai to Tirupati and vice versa.
By Train: There is a railway station owned by Tirupati but a lot of trains only pass through close by towns like Renigunta or Gundur.

By Road: you can take a bus service from Tirupati which goes to almost all the significant places of Andra and Tirupati Tirumala.

You can also go on foot to Tirumala. There are two properly laid stone paths that leads to Tirumala. You need to at first go to the Alipiri toll gate. It is the starting of the steps to Tirumala. It is approximately away from the railway station by 4.2 KMs. There are two free bus services provided by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation which is from Railway station at Tirupati to Alipiri. The bus runs at a regular interval of 30 minutes.
There is a T.T.D transport office where you can then drop your luggage and take receipt. They provide you with your luggage after you reach the top after you produce the receipt. This service is free.
People who have some vow to fulfill generally use the two stone paths that lead to Tirumala. The name of these paths is sopanamargas. It starts from Alipiri and is about 9 KMs long. It is the most frequently used route.
